one campaign. 6 campuses. LessThanUThink is a student-based anti-binge drinking campaign consisting of advertising and public relations students across the state of Alabama.
The campaign focuses on college campuses and reaches out to students through humorous messages that emphasize the negative social consequences of binge drinking. Funded by The Century Council, the campaign launched in 2010 on the University of Alabama campus.
Due to the high success rate of phase 1, LessThanUThink has decided to take the campaign statewide, with additional funding from the National Alcohol Beverage Control Aossiciation on behalf of the Alabama Acohol Beverage Control Board.
Phase 2 of the LessThanUThink campaign will be implemented statewide at six universities in Alabama including Alabama State University, Auburn University, University of Alabama Birmingham, The University of Alabama, The University of South Alabama and Troy University. This portion of the campaign will kick off on college campuses on Feb. 27 and will continue during spring break on the Alabama Gulf Coast.
The LessThanUThink will work with ABC stores and members of the Responsible Vendors Program in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach to promote the campaign.
